The Common Core Standards for Mathematics define the conceptual cateogies which are used to drive the content for the Pre-Calculus course. The Common Core Standards do not dictate specific course requirements nor a specific sequence of courses, but they do provide models which can be adopted by states; most states develop model courses from the common core course models. The units that are listed in this Pre-Calculus course are derived from the state model from Massachusetts and the sequence summarized from many Pre-Calculus textbooks.
